How Long Can I Access My QuickBooks Online File After Canceling?

If you're thinking about canceling your QuickBooks Online subscription, it's important to know how long you’ll still have access to your data. According to Intuit, you'll have read-only access to your QuickBooks Online data for one year after cancellation. This allows you to view and export important records but not make any changes.

To prepare for life after QuickBooks, it’s wise to download key financial reports before your access ends. We recommend saving copies of the Trial Balance, Profit & Loss (Income Statement), Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows for all relevant periods. These reports will serve as a reliable archive for future reference or audits.

Be sure to also download any receipts or attachments you’ve stored in QuickBooks. If you’ve used QuickBooks for payroll or time tracking, it’s a good idea to export those records as well to maintain a complete history.
